Privacy Policy

Overview

WordCurds ("we", "our", "the game") is a casual word game operated by Mind Harbor Labs. This policy explains what information is collected when you play at wordcurds.com, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Game progress. Your scores, found words, and in-progress rounds are stored locally on your own device using your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

No accounts. WordCurds does not require registration, and we do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal information to play the game.

Advertising data. We use Google AdSense to display advertising. Google and its partners may collect or receive information from your device — such as cookies, IP address, and device identifiers — to provide, personalize, and measure ads, and to prevent fraud.

Third-party advertising

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info/choices. For more on how Google uses information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland are shown a consent message, provided by a Google-certified consent management platform, before any personalized ads are served.

Data retention

Because game progress is stored only on your device, you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data. We retain no player data on our servers.

Children's privacy

WordCurds is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
